Tenth Life's direction is carefully steered by a group of volunteer leaders, who ensure that all we do adheres to our ultimate mission. Please meet them!
Ms. Frick founded Tenth Life on January 2, 2009, in response to the fact that fewer resources for stray cats and kittens existed in St. Louis; particularly those with special needs and medical conditions. Elizabeth lived in Chicago, IL for 10 years, where she completed an undergraduate degree in sociology and a master’s in elementary education. Initially, a 5th-grade teacher, Elizabeth spent much of her free time volunteering and eventually working for Tree House Humane Society – an organization after which Tenth Life is modeled. She lives near Tower Grove Park in the city of St. Louis, with her group of permanent feline family members, as well as four children, Olive, Ingrid, Camille, and Frida with her husband, Adam. Currently on hiatus from board duties, she serves as advisor to the organization’s executive director.
Allison has been involved in animal rescue in one capacity or another over the last sixteen years. She currently fosters forTenth Life and previously fostered for other local rescue groups. She believes she has cared for nearly one hundred cats and kittens over the years before they found their forever homes. Allison is Conflicts and Ethics Counsel with Bryan Cave LLP where she assists with risk management and conflicts resolution efforts for the global law firm of over 1000 attorneys. She lives in St. Louis city with her partner, Krista and their pets.
Kathy had been working in adoptions at a local municipal shelter when she caught wind of a new cat rescue in the area. She immediately contacted Tenth Life to see if the new group was able to transfer needy cats from her shelter. The organization and its work had such a positive impact on Kathy that she became a foster parent in 2010. Shortly thereafter, Kathy became a dedicated member of the board, while also continuing her service as a foster and volunteer. She currently works at St. Louis County Animal Care & Control, working passionately to transfer pets with the greatest needs into area rescues. Kathy is also a volunteer and board member of the Bi-State Pet Food Pantry. A 2003 Chicago transplant, she currently resides in St. Louis near the Hill with her feline and canine kids.
Jennifer Nitchman joined the board of Tenth Life Cat Rescue in 2014. A native of New England, she moved to St Louis when she accepted a position as a flutist with the St Louis Symphony. She considered herself a dog person until 2005, when she adopted and fell in love with her two cats Henry and Harriet. She and her husband Nick have renovated a historic home in Tower Grove East. In her free time, she is an avid cook and attempts to grow her own vegetables in the Tower Grove East Community Garden.
Will Becker founded Becker Media in January 2017. He felt the desire to open an agency to help businesses increase their brand awareness and achieve growth through strategic storytelling and media relations. Will has more than 18 years of experience as a marketing and communications professional with practice in media relations, crisis communications, advertising, social media and web development. Will developed a passion and love for animals while directing the media relations efforts for the Knoxville Zoo in East Tennessee. He is looking forward to using his experience with animals and storytelling to help advance the mission of Tenth Life as a member of its board of directors.

She resides in St. Louis city with her husband and three adored cats.
